Theists, what do you think of this explanation for faith?

I know you are going to think that I'm being defiant and defensive by saying this, but I think that your post is trite and over-used by atheists. It's the same old story, anytime I talk to an atheist, of humans creating God out of necessity to know that our life is planned and has a purpose. That's all they ever say and ever need to say because with that, you atheists have no other need for explanation. Seriously, with the 5 atheists I know as very close friends, they all say that to one extent or another. It's not original, and I think most atheists read that, buy into it, and become atheists rather than converting due to personal belief.
