How can an 'Aries-man & Virgo-woman' relationship sustain?

My gf and I have quite a turbulent relationship. Very loving and affectionate but also very argumentative and well...turbulent. She is very much into her astrology so naturally I took an interest myself and discovered that me and her are not necessarily a match made in heaven...in fact, we are potentially a formula for distaster. I am an Aries and she is a Virgo. While we have a very pionate relationship, we cannot always agree on things and tend to bicker from time to time. However I do believe that you can adapt and alter your behaviour for the benefit of the relationship which is why I would appreciate some input from you guys should you know anything about this particular star-sign match. How can this relationship do well?
