Was Letterman Insensitive?

Phoenix was high as a kite. Letterman was more than accomodating. Phoenix was rude coming on in that condition. It was like slapping Letterman in the face. He got what he deserved. After the show, he should have gone to rehab. You act like being rude is the worst thing that could happen. I think drugs is Phoenix's enemy, not Letterman.
