What can i sub for chicken broth?

One time I had to open a package of Ramen noodles, take the Chicken flavoring packet out, mixed in some water and used that to flavor up my chicken dish. Just an idea if you have any lying around. You can use any of the flavoring packets, except maybe the shrimp one
